Board of Zoning Appeals
Variance Special Permit
The City of Dublin Board of Zoning Appeals must review and approve all applications for variance requests, administrative appeals on any zoning or building decisions issued by the City, and special permits for the operation of a model home or a sales trailer, heliports, dish antennas, portable classrooms or construction trailers. The Board generally holds a meeting the fourth Thursday of each month at the Dublin Municipal Building , 5200 Emerald Parkway at 6:30 p.m., unless otherwise advertised.
Please note that all completed applications are due by the posted application 2012 Submission Deadlines, though applications may be submitted prior to the deadline. Anyone submitting a new application on application day will be required to make an appointment to ensure the application is complete. Appointments can be made by calling 614-410-4600. Only completed applications will be accepted. Following a complete submission, a new application is typically scheduled for review by the Board of Zoning Appeals the following month.
Planning is available to assist with applications during every phase of the review process. Applicants are strongly encouraged to schedule a pre-application meeting during which the applicant can learn about the Board & Commission process. A pre-application meeting also affords the applicant and Planning the opportunity to address any initial concerns.
2012 Meeting Dates
The following is a list of proposed meeting dates for 2012, which account for Dublin City School Spring Break, the APA annual conference, the Memorial Tournament, the Irish Festival, Spooktacular and all applicable national holidays. Please review the dates and provide feedback with any potential conflicts, so these dates can be voted on at the next Board meeting.
