Selection Committee Awards Commission to Brower Hatcher

2010 Annual PROUD Writing Contest Winners
Parent Resource for Outstanding Dublin Students – PROUD – added Dublin Bicentennial to its categories for the writing contest, in which students in grades 4-8 competed for a $500 savings bond prize. The 2010 contest was sponsored in part by a City of Dublin’s Hotel/Motel tax grant.

Growing Up in Dublin
This year-long series will recount the history of Dublin through the eyes of long-standing residents and community leaders. Each storyteller will offer fun and informative facts on Dublin’s progression over the last 200 years. The series will focus on various topics ranging from the development of the City’s government, schools and services to memories of Historic Dublin. Enjoy.

Get caught up on the last 200 years in Dublin, Ohio
Dublin’s Journey is an adventure that begins with the Sells family’s purchase of land in 1803 and continues through the development of the rural village that today is known as Historic Dublin. The spirits of Dublin’s past and the enthusiasm of its people today are recounted, from the days of taverns and dusty roads to modern corporate headquarters and interstate highways, from the early 1800s to the present.
Dublin’s Journey, a vivid, four-color coffee-table book chronicles the history of one of Central Ohio’s premier suburbs. The hardcover now sells for $20.10 in honor of the bicentennial. More »
