Herbert wins 'Outstanding Woman in Technology' Award
The City of Dublin congratulates Cheryl Herbert, president of Dublin Methodist Hospital, for receiving the Outstanding Woman in Technology Award at Thursday’s TechColumbus Innovation Awards ceremony.
Herbert envisioned a "high-tech, high-touch" healing environment that drove the conceptualization, design and construction of the hospital which opened in 2008. To achieve this vision, Herbert and Dublin Methodist Hospital partnered with the Center for Health and Design's Pebble Project, a national research effort exploring ways in which architectural design can improve benefits and outcomes for patients and caregivers. The hospital environment that emerged from her vision is both revolutionary and truly the first of its kind.
