2010 Parade Line Up Map

Expected to attract approximately 20,000 spectators from Dublin and surrounding cities, the parade is a wonderful opportunity to entertain guests who want to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Dublin, Ohio where “Irish is an Attitude”. The parade will begin promptly at 11 a.m. and last approximately 90 minutes. The parade starts at Metro Center and continues through Historic Dublin.

Application Review Process

Application Review Process The Parade Review Panel will judge and rank all applications using the following criteria:

  • St. Patrick’s Day or Irish theme

  • Originality

  • Use of color

  • Animation

  • Variety

  • Music

  • Excitement

Applicants will be required to submit a brief description  of their parade unit. Entries should be mobile and able to perform at a steady pace through the entire parade route. Applicants will be notified of acceptance or denial on or before February 26.

We will consider applications from the following types of units:
  • Marching Bands

  • Floats

  • Military Organizations/Color Guards

  • Drum Corp

  • Pipe Bands

  • Marching Units

  • Dance or Drill Teams

  • Irish Organizations

  • Themed Walking Groups

  • Equestrian/Animal

  • Bicycle Brigades

  • Novelty/Antique Vehicles/Mini-Bikes/Go-Carts

  • Clowns/Buskers/Mascots

  • Elected Officials/Special Guests

Entries No Longer Considered

We no longer consider applications from the following types of units:

  • Political Candidates

  • Commercial Vehicles: Note: Commercial entries are welcome to participate in the Parade Partner Program.

Deadlines

  • Application Deadline is Friday, February 19 at 5 p.m.

  • Line-up posted on www.dublin.oh.us Friday, February 26

  • All applicants will also be notified by e-mail on or before Friday, February 26

Parade Contest

Parade entries can win one of three awards. Entries are judged on criteria stated above. Float awards: $250 Grand Leprechaun’s Choice, $100 Pot-o-Gold, or $50 Rainbow. Contact parade@dublin.oh.us or 614-410-4545 for more information.

Commercial Entry = Parade Partner Program

Become a Parade Partner by presenting one of the many exciting entertainment elements including bands, balloons, floats and more. Your brand will be seen and remembered by thousands of central Ohio spectators. Your cash and in-kind contributions will be matched with appropriate parade elements. Depending on your level of participation, you will receive benefits that may include:

  • Your company logo on St. Patrick’s Day web site with a link to your site

  • Your company name on three ads in the Dublin News in March

  • Your company name on Dublin’s cable television show, DTV

  • Your company-provided banner preceding your parade element

  • Your company vehicle preceding your chosen parade element

  • Two invitations to the VIP review stand in Historic Dublin

  • Four company representatives distributing candy on parade route
