Attorneys for the City recently reviewed the status of the pending law suit against The Golf Club of Dublin, LLC by its lender, GE Capital Corporation seeking a monetary judgment against GCD. Counsel for the City report that there are no recent significant developments in the case; the Court appointed Receiver for GCD remains in place and responsible for operating the GCD facility while GE completes the foreclosure process.
The Receiver continues to use as authorized by the court, the services of Century Golf for the actual operation of the golf course and related facilities, including the club house, pro shop, dining facilities and reservation and staffing of the facilities for various events. There is no reason to believe that this arrangement will not continue for at least the balance of 2011.
The City and its legal counsel recently met with the receiver and representatives of Century Golf to confirm the financial, staffing and operating plans of Century for the golf course and all related facilities as well as their plans for maintenance and improvement of the grounds to enhance the golfing experience at the Golf Club of Dublin.
