It's Greener in Dublin

Electronic waste recycling available in Dublin

ewaste

Residents in Dublin now have electronic waste recycling available for free, nearby and five days a week.

In partnership with Dublin-based Possitivity, the City is providing an e-waste recycling site at the Dublin Service Center, 6555 Shier Rings Rd. Items can be dropped off Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

"The City is fortunate for the partnership with Possitivity," said Michelle Crandall, director of administrative services. "We hope our residents will take the right action and recycle electronic items instead of throwing them in the trash."

Items that will be accepted include AC adaptors, cables, calculators, cash drawers, cell phones, computers, fax machines, ink & toner cartridges, keyboards and mice, laptop docks, laptops, LCD monitors, coffee makers, overhead projectors, PDAs, point of sale equipment, power cords, routers, scanners, server racks, servers, speakers, switches, telephones, typewriters, uninterrupted power systems, microwaves, alarm clocks, clock radios, gaming devices, and other items deemed e-waste or a peripheral to electronic equipment.

CRT monitors and televisions cannot be recycled at the Dublin location. However, you can recycle these items for a fee at Possitivity, 1773 Westbelt Drive in Columbus. CRT monitors are $15 and televisions are $25. Monitors and televisions with cracked glass or televisions in wood consoles are not accepted.

Possitivity provides economical, secure and environmentally responsible e-waste recycling. They guarantee a 100 percent global no-landfill policy, return of all recycled materials to the manufacturing stream, and the security of all devices and sensitive information by either wiping hard drives to Department of Defense Standards or physically destroying the hard drive.

Off the Curb! Program - Recycle/Reuse Ideas

The following is a list of resources for reuse and recycling of various items. Please note that this list is only a partial representation of reuse, recycle and disposal facilities.
