MADD selects three Dublin Police Officers for their ‘Award of Excellence’
DUBLIN (Ohio) – Dublin Police Officers Bruce McKenna, Kyle Groves and Jacob Williams have been given the “Award of Excellence” by Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD).
The Award of Excellence is presented to selected officers, judges, prosecutors, and prominent citizens in Ohio who have made a significant impact in their respective communities to stop drunk driving.
Officers Groves and Williams were selected based on their significant OVI enforcement during the past year. Officer McKenna was selected based on his long-term commitment to the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) program in Dublin schools and his help in launching the police “Choose Your Ride” campaign last year. This campaign is aimed at reminding people of the consequences of driving while intoxicated.
The officers will be recognized at the MADD Awards Recognition Luncheon on Thursday, Feb. 17.
