Pay Tribute this Memorial Day

(DUBLIN, Ohio) - The City of Dublin along with the Wesley G. Davids Dublin Post 800 of the American Legion and Dublin Post 10691 of the VFW will pay tribute to the honorable men and women who have lost their lives in service to our country--and remember those who have served and passed on this Memorial Day.

11 a.m. - Parade in Historic Dublin from The Bridge Pointe Center to Dublin Cemetery with the wreath throwing ceremony on the Bridge Street Bridge

11:30 a.m. - Memorial Day Ceremony at Dublin Cemetery

Noon - Memorial Day Commemoration at Grounds of Remembrance in Dublin Veterans Park

12:30 p.m. - Complimentary picnic lunch on the grounds of the Dublin Library

The Memorial Day Commemoration at Grounds of Remembrance in Dublin Veterans Park will feature a Wreath Ceremony in recognition of Lt. William Strayer, Lt. James Carr and Spec. Norman Wesley Tarpley, Dublin High School graduates who served in the Vietnam War.

Additionally, Mike Close, who serves on the Franklin Co. Veterans Service Commission and is a former City of Dublin Mayor, will be the keynote speaker at this year’s Memorial Day.
