Miracle League celebrates sixth annual ‘Fun Day’

Dublin (OH) – The Miracle League of Central Ohio hosts the sixth annual Fun Day at 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 17 at Miracle League Park, 6259 Cosgray Road.

Fun Day is a free event sponsored by The Miracle League, which provides children with disabilities an opportunity to play baseball on an accessible field.

“This day gives the kids a chance to really have fun and is a step up from their normal games throughout the season,” said Acting League Director Joe Fox. “It is also more than just the games, it’s an opportunity for people to come out and learn more about the league.”

Dublin Coffman High School’s baseball and softball teams will play against the Miracle League athletes. The event will also feature a barbecue lunch, carnival games, face painting, and cake walk. Performances from the Regan Academy of Irish Dance and Dublin Taiko Group will also take place throughout Fun Day.

The Miracle League Park was built in 2008 from land donated by the City of Dublin. The custom-designed field removes barriers for children who are visually impaired, wheelchair or walker restricted or use any type of mobile device.
