Join the Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run on Friday
Help pass the torch on Friday, June 25
Involvement in the Law Enforcement Torch Run unites departments and agencies throughout the state – who all work together toward a common goal of raising awareness for Special Olympics Ohio.
This is the second year Dublin has had an official leg. There will be a police escort as the torch travels two miles through Dublin.
Torch Run participants run or ride bikes in one of six planned routes covering Ohio, leading to the opening ceremonies in Columbus. Officers pass the torch from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, allowing the various communities an opportunity to watch officers working together in an effort to reach a common goal.
All participants should meet at the Dublin Coffman High School North Lot at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, June 25. The run will start at Dublin Coffman High School and end at Montgomery Inn. See the map for details.
A support vehicle will be on hand to give rides to runners.
Contact Sgt. Rod Barnes with the Dublin Police if you would like to support the Torch Run at 614-937-1468 or email: rbarnes@dublin.oh.us
