21-year-old dies in multi-vehicle crash on I-270 at US33 in Dublin

(Dublin, OH) – Joshua Stephen Elzey, 21, was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on northbound I-270 at US 33 in Dublin. The accident occurred shortly before 3:30 p.m. today.

Joshua, from East Liberty, was a passenger in a Maroon Chevy S-10 driven by his grandmother, 66-year-old Andrea Elzey of Columbus. She was transported by Orange Township Medics to Grant Medical Center and is in critical condition. Joshua’s mother, 44-year-old Stephanie Tickle of East Liberty, also was injured in the crash. She was transported to Riverside Methodist Hospital by Washington Township Medics and is in critical condition.

A tractor-trailer and mini-van were among the vehicles involved in the crash; neither driver was injured.

The accident stalled rush hour traffic; I-270 northbound traffic was diverted to Tuttle Crossing Boulevard for approximately two hours.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
