Annual Shutdown
The DCRC is closed for annual cleaning and maintenance through Monday, Sept. 6.
During this year's shutdown, we will be renovating restrooms, retiling the locker room hallway, and replacing lockers throughout the facility, in addition to deep cleaning, painting and maintenance.
Other projects require that we begin them prior to shutdown, so we've begun renovation of the Family Changing Rooms in the locker room hallway of the DCRC. Two of the rooms will remain open for use during construction.
Parking Lot Renovation
We are also undergoing a complete replacement and renovation of the DCRC parking lot, driveways and access roads.
Concrete work has begun at the access ramps and sidewalks outside of the Rec Center. Concrete work will strive to minimize disruption to the Rec Center during the weeks of August 16 and August 23. On Saturday, August 28 crews will start full demolition of the asphalt at the Rec Center parking lot and driveways. Demolition will continue August 30 on the north parking lot, and during the following week in the west parking lot. Asphalt trucks will access the DCRC from the south entrance off Commerce Parkway. Our goal is to have the majority of the project complete by the time the DCRC reopens on Sept. 7. Any remaining work, such as striping, placement of speed humps and sealing, is to be completely finished by Sept. 11. We apologize for any inconvenience, but recognize that after more than 15 years, the project is necessary to insure safe and convenient access to all our patrons. Any changes in the schedule or construction updates will be posted here.
Inclement Weather Policy
DCRC facilities will maintain normal operating hours unless directed otherwise by the City Manager. In general, DCRC class/activity schedules coincide with Dublin City Schools. Whenever schools are released early, all evening classes at the DCRC are cancelled. When school is cancelled, all daytime DCRC classes are cancelled, and a decision regarding evening classes (those after 5 p.m.) will be made by 3 p.m.
